I have a large bathroom with a claw foot tub in our old

wait awhile longer. Here is my inspiration picture.
wait awhile longer. Here is my inspiration picture.
I don't have a fireplace in my bathroom, but I do have
a long claw foot tub. It is painted black on the sides. I
have a pale pink color picked out to paint the walls
(Pink Shadow by Sherwin Williams). Right now, we
have 4 ft. of white bead board below with 8 ft. of red
painted plaster wall with a RED plaster ceiling!

So, I'm very, very eager for DH to paint the walls pink.
Poor man, I have sooo much for him to do. I'll have to
draw him a warm bath. But first, I better run get him
a blue towel!
Hope everyone is having a wonderful Pink Saturday
and be sure to visit Beverly for more sweet pinks at

I love pink and black in a home's decor. Having a tub like that and painted black on the sides...with pink....beautiful picture I see.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great inspiration picture -- it will be a magnificent bath and don't you just love those old clawfoot tubs? We have our original 1920's one -- it, too is long and deep -- just not on feet!
ReplyDeleteHey thanks for supporting my first pink Saturday. Gosh your bathroom will look great when it is finished. I am 57 and have been married 36 years.

ReplyDeleteI can tell it is going to be a beauty when you are done. I love LOVE the old claw foot tubs.
Your color selection is so soft & elegant ... anxious to see the finished room.
Happy PS ~

A very nice motivation post for your hubby. I am sure in time your walls will be pink and things as you desire. Thanks for stopping by.
ReplyDeleteThe inspiration bathroom is really lovely, but it sounds like yours is going to be just as gorgeous one day! I love beadboard, and I think it's going to look fantastic painted pink, with your black tub. I hope hubby gets to this project soon, because I can't wait to see the results!
ReplyDeleteHappy Pink Saturday!
