Autumn Decorations

Autumn will be here in a few days!  Oh, this is such a sweet time.  I wanted to share my minimal decorating with you.  I've never been very crafty or artistic in any way.  But I've learned over the years to display just a few decorations that I really love and I will feel more at home.  Warning: all of these are store bought.

I love the squirrel salt and pepper shakers!  $1.99 at Walmart
(Made in China)  We have grey squirrels but that's ok.

Just a few autumn colors to decorate the side porch.  In October, we will fill this space with plastic pumpkins!

A scarecrow lady seems to be a common theme in my house! I wonder why????

And that's it!  I have a pretty fall tablecloth I forgot to take a picture of to show you.  It is really not about the store bought decorations.  It is all about love and home and winter coming down the road.  My heart goes out to the people in Colorado with all the floods and destruction still going on.  Just like the people in New Jersey and New York with Sandy and the Gulf Coast with Katrina, it is about love and home and winter coming down the road.

Thank you for visiting today!

  1. Your autumn decorations look so lovely . I have to tell you a story. I left a wreath up after Christmas one year and a bird built it's nest in it right on the door. Of course we had to move it to the side of the house. I am careful now about wreaths on the door. HA! HA!

  2. Your Autumn wreath and mantel is so pretty.

  3. Love the decorations the only fall or halloween decos I have out is my wire pumpkin candle holder, a small wall broom decorated with fall leaves. Love the pics.
