Pottery Around the House

I just LOVE all kinds of pottery, especially from one particular potter
I met in Alabama over forty years ago.  I guess I had a crush on him.
Anyway, he would knead clay, throw pots on a potters wheel, glaze
them, fire them, sell them at art shows and let me have what was left over for free!

I've put some in my kitchen and dining room and they are
a part of my life as much as anything else I own.

He would also made raku pottery, which looked dangerous to me
when I saw him firing them.

Here are a few more that reflect the artist in the potter.

I love this potter's work so much that I decided to
marry him!

Hope everyone has a wonderful Valentine's Day!
Love,
Lottie

  2. Lottie, I found you from Beverly's blog, and I'm glad I did. Love your pottery. It's so handsome! I have a small collection, but my favorite pieces are wine glasses whose handles are pottery. They came from a shop in Florida that used to specialize in it. You have quite a collection!

    Happy Valentine's Day...

    XO,
