New Hand Rails

Hello bloggy friends!  I've been missing in action for a few months.  All is well.  I lost some of my pictures I was going to put on the blog so I'm a little behind.  So I'm going to jump right back in!

I'm so thrilled to have rails to hold on to after twenty years of naked steps! Next month I turn sixty and have balance problems so these rails really make me happy!

Hope you are having a great June!  I'm off for a walk!
Love,
Lottie

  1. Like your hand rails -- and yes, I feel I need them as well! Especially if I'm carrying something! And I agree -- geraniums and begonias are the workhorse annuals of the summer garden -- always giving and demanding very little!

  2. The rails are very pretty with your brick steps! We added them too for me about a year ago and I feel safer now.

    So glad you're back!

  3. Lottie, your front porch is so pretty. That's a great idea to put the rails in, they look very nice. The pink flowers look gorgeous next to the stairs. I just love your blog design. Blue is an amazing color.

Thank you for the wishes on Jess' engagement. I appreciate very much.

  4. HI Lottie! I'm so glad you got the rails and it looks so nice. When we recently bought our new/old house it didn't have rails on the porch steps and they were so steep and dangerous. That's one of the first things we did and I'm so glad. Thanks for popping in to see me.

  7. Hi Lottie your rails look great and most importantly you feel more stable stepping down those steps. Thank you so much for visiting my blog I'm so glad you discovered the 'tidy' book too. I still have a long way to go before my home is purged but I figure 'one day at a time' right?
    happy weekend my friend,

  11. Hi Lottie,

The shiny, black handrails look very smart, indeed, and very pretty against the pale blue facade of your lovely home.
