Favorite Decorated House for Christmas

Do you have a house that you make a point to drive by just to see it decorated  for Christmas?  I do!  My favorite is the Toddle Inn - Williams  house located in the Silk Stocking District in Talladega, Alabama.  I just wanted to share a little bit of Christmas favorites with you today. The house was built in 1890 by the Cook family and later was a daycare center named Toddle Inn.  It seems every citizen of Talladega went there as a child.  Then the house stood empty for years and years before the present owners lovingly restored it!  The Christmas lights are a true gift to families who drive by.  Both the adults and children look out the car windows to see Santa on the porch.  Enjoy!

Ho! Ho! Ho! Merry Christmas!

  1. This is so pretty, Lottie. It looks like it would be such a family home. Have you toured through it? It's so nice to see the new owners take such loving care of it. One of the best parts of Christmas to me is driving to see the lights at houses. I hope you have other houses in mind to show us as December goes on.

    1. This house is indeed beautiful inside, but it is a private home now and not on a tour. I agree, this house is so pretty!

  2. What a gorgeous house, love it! It looks so beautiful all lit up. Thanks for sharing that with us. I do have a few houses I make a point to go by every year but they are not Victorian.

  3. Wouldn't you just love to get a peek inside this beautiful house? Maybe one day they will put it on a tour. Gorgeous, classic Southern beauty.

  4. Oh my gosh that is gorgeous. Is it an Inn? What a place that would be for the holidays. Have you seen the indoors before?

  5. The indoors have a very definite Eastlake influence. It is beautiful but now a private residence and not on tour. It is confusing with the name Toddle Inn to think it was once an inn, but no, it was a day care center. There are lots of Toddle Inn day care centers today in Maine and Ohio. This one in Talladega, Alabama seems to have had quite an esteemed three and four year old educational program.

  6. Well, how beautiful is that! It reminds me of my house. I love the yellow with the big front porch. Sunshine.
