Welcome to Pink Saturday - Dream Bath

I have a large bathroom with a claw foot tub in our old
home place.  We are busy with other projects this summer

so the relaxing bath in beautiful surroundings will have to
wait awhile longer.  Here is my inspiration picture.

I don't have a fireplace in my bathroom, but I do have 
a long claw foot tub.  It is painted black on the sides. I
have a pale pink color picked out to paint the walls 
(Pink Shadow by Sherwin Williams).  Right now, we
have 4 ft. of white bead board below with 8 ft. of red
painted plaster wall with a RED plaster ceiling! 

So, I'm very, very eager for DH to paint the walls pink.

Poor man, I have sooo much for him to do.  I'll have to

draw him a warm bath.  But first, I better run get him

a blue towel!

Pink Saturday - Pink Bowls

Welcome to Pink Saturday!  These are some of my favorite mixing
bowls. I found them last fall in an antique store.  I use them all the time!

I keep them in my vintage cupboard in my 1907 kitchen.

Pink Saturday - Flower Shop in Abbeville, SC

Welcome to Pink Saturday!

  

      

I was walking along Main Street in Abbeville, SC last weekend

when out of the corner of my eye I saw PINK!  I screamed Pink 

Saturday and grabbed my camera.  DH was with me and he stood

watching a truck go by while I took my photos for today.  I love the

pink door!  Then there were pink petunias all around!

 I have never been in this flower shop, nor do I know the owner (but

I think I would like her:-) I don't want to put an advertisement out for

this shop, but I have to show you this picture of DH watching traffic 

while I ran across the street to get the full picture of this beautiful shop.

Pink Roses in a Glass - Pink Saturday

My DH and I took off and went on a four day trip
together in north GA.  It was great!  We visited
mountain towns and just spent time together. At the
first stop we made in Martin, GA,  my DH got out
of his truck and picked these roses along the road
for me.  I thought it was so sweet that I carried them
with me everywhere we went.  They are such
elegant roses and can blanket a hillside quickly.
      ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

We carried them on the balcony at the vacation unit where we were
staying in Helen, GA

DH suddenly became very interested in rooting roses.  He researched
the internet about rooting roses in willow bark that has been boiled and
steeped like tea. Have any of you had luck rooting roses?  Here he is
examining roses to try to root.

Hope everyone is enjoying Pink Saturday today!  Back home in SC,
it is pouring down rain, but that's ok, because it's all good for the roses!

There are only a few pinks in the yard
this week.  The roses are blooming
and the pink azaleas by the front door
are starting to bloom!  I love this time
of day when the work is done and I
can sit on the doorstep and enjoy the
breeze.

Pink Saturday - Pink House in GA

Happy Pink Saturday!  For over twenty years my
DH and I have driven past this house during Spring
Break on our way through GA to FL.  This week
we were able to tour the home as a part of the
Washington Wilks Spring Tour of Homes.  More
pictures are on my post about our Saturday in
Washington, GA.

Pink Saturday - French Lovers

This is a ceramic planter that I bought a few months ago in an
antique shop.  I thought it was beautiful!  When I saw these two
lovers ... I call them French Lovers, I fell in love with love again!

And every morning when the alarm goes off and I wake up to
flip on the light, I see the French Lovers are still in love!

Pink Saturday - Strawberry Shortcake

Today is Pink Saturday at How Sweet the Sound.

Everyone from the South knows that everyone,
everywhere, and everything has a story. My
story is that I had three brothers and no sisters.
So I grew up camping in tents and going fishing.
When we were children, we all had bunk beds
with green army blankets on them.  It was a
boys world.  I'm over 50 now, and although I live
in a house with three men, my DH and two grown DSs, I finally
have my girl world.  Here are two of my pink favorites!

Pink Saturday - Big Comfy Chairs

It's Pink Saturday at Beverly's How Sweet the Sound  and I forgot
to email her this morning that I had a Pink Saturday post.  I want to
post it anyway because I love these big comfy "pink" plaid chairs!

We went on a weekend getaway last weekend and these chairs were
the first thing I saw when we came in our vacation unit.  My DH says
I never saw anything else because the "pink" blinded me to everything
else. (He may be right, :-)  I moved them together so DH and I could
watch TV together.  I spent a couple of hours in one of these chairs
reading my book as the sunlight poured in the windows! So relaxing.

Pink Sea Shells Lamp

                                                                                                 

Today is Pink Saturday over at Beverly's
How Sweet the Sound.


I love this little pink lamp with sea shells. My husband
and two little sons, age 8 and 10, went on a fishing
vacation during spring break in Sebastian, FL. about
fifteen years ago.  We stopped in a K-Mart store to
buy some fishing stuff for the boys when I turned
down the wrong aisle and came upon this cute little
pink lamp with sea shells.  I just had to have it!  My sons, on the other hand, were really mad at me for buying it! Those memories from that trip are why this lamp is so precious to me now! Thank you for visiting!   Lottie
