Moving Around the Yard Slowly

I've been preoccupied with yard cleanup after DH moved two buildings to the back yard.  He is organizing everything in his buildings and garage.  I'm proud of all he is doing but it is "Man's World," and I'm finished with it! LOL!

I hurt my foot so I moved around the yard slowly yesterday. Sardis watched me and wanted to come outside so bad.  I couldn't hold the camera and him and hobble along all at the same time.

The camellias in the front yard are just beautiful in the fall.

No freeze yet!

The back yard is decked out still for summer, but it is too cool now.

Quietly and slowly the weather changes.

My flower bed will go to sleep soon.

And all the time sweet Sardis is waiting at the door to walk with me.  I have to rest a while and get off my foot.  I'm afraid winter will get here before I am well enough to take long walks again.  Wait on me, dear November.

Goof!  (The photographer can be seen in the reflection in the glass.)

Love,
Lottie

    1. Thanks Debby! I just turned it a few months ago and didn't stay off of it like I was supposed to do.

  2. Yes,Lottie, the leaves are on the ground here also. We didn't have a lot of color around here. Sweet puppy, they do like to be with us!

  3. Your blue cottage is so adorable, Lottie!
Sorry to hear about your foot, take good care of yourself so you and your sweet puppy can wall again.
We woke up to snow this morning. Winter is my favorite season, but it takes all of November to prepare myself for it. :-)
    Sweet blessings, Debbie

  4. Your yard looks so pretty and you need to take extra care of your foot, Don't want it to get worse. I wanted to work in our yard, but it seems winter has decided to come early and it is so cold. Just hoping for one more weekend of warm temps and I am out of here to clean the yard up.

  6. Charming! It's gotten really chilly here the past few nights and zapped all the annuals...they are finished! I usually have my pansies planted by September to last through Spring but haven't gotten that done yet...it will be a dull winter if I don't get to it!
    Blessings,
    Cindy

  7. Lottie,

The periwinkle (?) blue of your home's facade, black shutters and white window frames is one of my favourites in all of blogland! Hope your foot is better; you must rest it, and your goof is our bonus - how lovely to get a peek at you!

    Happy Sunday

    P.S.: Sardis is adorable!

  9. Sorry to hear about your foot!! You better behave. Even though we got some hard freezes a while ago our camellias have survived--I was surprised. Now this week we are back to 70 degree weather. Guess that is the blessings of living in SC, Eh?
