Yes, August 4, 2014 is a special day! DH and I are celebrating our 41st wedding anniversary today! We are celebrating with 6 gallons of blueberries that DH picked, washed, and put up in freezer bags.
So all through the winter when we take out a freezer bag of blueberries marked 8/4/14, they will be our anniversary blueberries!
Last year was the big anniversary with the second honeymoon and the wonderful dinners and flowers. This year was the treasured day running errands, quiet KFC dinner in the kitchen together, and the washing and packing of blueberries. I wish when we were young we had some idea life would be so good!
Note: Do not watch the movie Philomena unless you are prepared to cry for hours! Otherwise, it is a wonderful story!
